House Rules

These rules are mandatory for all guests and host families of the Kaz Homestay program (kazakhstanhomestay.com). Following these rules is the foundation of a comfortable and safe stay.

Rules for Guests

  1. Guests must bring their own personal toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste, personal towels, etc.).
  2. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property.
  3. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited in the host family's home.
  4. Inviting overnight guests without prior approval from the host is not allowed.
  5. Return home by 22:00. If you are running late, please notify your host in advance via WhatsApp.
  6. Keep your room clean and tidy at all times.
  7. Clean up after yourself in the bathroom or shower area.
  8. If you will not be having breakfast or dinner at home, please inform your host before 15:00 so the family does not prepare extra food.
  9. Do not bring strangers into the house without the host's knowledge and consent.
  10. Help with light household chores when possible.
  11. Do not share personal information about the host family with third parties.
  12. If you wish to leave before the agreed date, you must notify the Platform in writing at least 1 month in advance. Otherwise, in accordance with the Offer Contract, a penalty equivalent to the cost of 3 months' stay will be charged.

Rules for Host Families

  1. Always knock before entering the guest's room.
  2. Do not share the guest's personal information with third parties.
  3. Provide the guest with breakfast and dinner daily.
  4. Maintain cleanliness in all common and shared areas of the house.

Cultural Context

In Kazakh culture, it is common to show interest in guests — asking about family, work, and the purpose of their visit. This is a sign of warmth and hospitality, not an intrusion of privacy. You are always free to decline answering any questions you consider personal.

House-Specific Rules

Each host family may have additional rules: pets, quiet hours, religious restrictions, kitchen access, etc. These rules are listed on the host family's profile and communicated to the guest before the stay is confirmed.

By submitting the guest application, you confirm that you have read and agree to these rules. See also Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
